The global GSSA, Air Logistics Group, continues to expand its network in Asia with the recent opening of its office in Vietnam.
With the opening of the Hanoi office, the Air Logistics Group network now totals 55 offices across 32 countries.
Vikram Singh, a former Airline Executive, who is developing operations across Asia on behalf of Air Logistics’ investors says, "The Mekong sub-region is going to continue to develop into a sustainable export region.
Development in Vietnam in particular holds a great deal of promise for passenger carriers. It is not yet big enough to sustain freighter operations but it will get there eventually. Now is the right time for us to invest here, so we are well positioned for this future development.
With Myanmar close to opening up and Cambodia developing nicely, the Mekong Sub-region will come into its own and Vietnam is the most central place to set up a Mekong hub.”
Singh continues, “Airlines are starting to look for global GSSAs in Asia where inflation has caused not only an increase in costs but also difficulties in sourcing and retaining manpower.
We now have mature operations in India and Hong Kong and in the last 12 months have opened offices in China and Japan with other countries in the pipeline."
